Gloucester Glass provide clients with a huge range of Safety Glasses that include Toughened, Reinforced , Laminated and Wire Mesh glass.

Toughened or Tempered glass as it is sometimes referred to is processed using thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength, compared to normal glass. When broken it is more likely to crumple into small granular chunks, rather than dangerous jagged shards of glass, which offers a smaller likelihood of injury being caused.

Laminated glass is manufactured by using layers of glass, held together by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). Should the glass be smashed the glass is held together bonded by the PVB, and the high strength stops the glass breaking up

Wired Glass is manufactured by inserting a wire mesh into the glass. It has an impact resistance similar to that or normal glass, however when broken the mesh retains the pieces of glass. This glass is traditionally accepted as a low-cost fire glass.
